Hello 2021!!! Let’s travel!
I’m fairly certain everyone is happy 2020 is over. It was one interesting year…if we want to say interesting. Major plans cancelled while a few other plans changed greatly.
This year was not a total travel waste. Heather and I (Angie) were able to take a weekend to visit Asheville again. We spent the weekend roaming a great city. The Blue Ridge Parkway, known as America’s Favorite Drive, has a lot of treasures to behold from hiking trails to beautiful scenery.
The Village Potters is also worth a visit if you find yourself in Asheville. This was our second visit to this wonderful gallery and clay center (we all went prior to COVID restrictions). Good luck not bringing this wonderful artwork home with you.
After packing up the Subie with my bags and enough Lysol and anti-bacterial hand santizer to keep a football team sanitized, I headed west this past fall with my dad as my sidekick. 6,000 plus miles, 17 states, 5 National Parks and 1 National Park site later, my need to travel is back with a vengeance.
2021 is going to be a year of travel for this group of friends. It may not be the international travel we want it to be, but there are plenty of places to go in this great country of ours. I can’t wait to explore new places and visit places I’ve been again to find the wonder of the world that is in our own back yard.
I hope you all will enjoy travels with us as we get back into the swing of things. Here’s to leaving 2020 behind us and to good things to come for 2021!
